Who is Eligible?

  • Harbor School - Earth Matter NYC

Bee University NYC is proud to partner with the Harbor School and Earth Matter NYC to bring urban beekeeping education to the next generation of environmental leaders. Our Harbor School - Earth Matter and Urban Beekeeping Fellowship programs are designed to support students with pursuing careers in the green economy

  • Alums can apply for 3 month jobs with Bee University NYC or our external partners. These roles are hourly-part time.

Second Year Alums

  • Bee University NYC offers part-time job opportunities for alumni to continue their journey in the green economy while contributing to the organization’s mission. These roles include:

    Environmental Educator:
Environmental Educators lead the facilitation of our Urban Beekeeping Fellowship. This role allows alums to share their knowledge and inspire others while honing their teaching and public engagement skills.

    Programs Coordinator:
Programs Coordinators support the planning and execution of Bee University NYC’s initiatives, including the Urban Beekeeping Fellowship, Hive Experiences, and community events. • Bee University NYC alumni have the unique opportunity to participate in a year-long beekeeping apprenticeship facilitated by the Staten Island Beekeeping Club. This program is designed to help graduates deepen their skills and knowledge by working closely with experienced beekeepers.

As part of the apprenticeship, participants will receive a stipend and all the materials needed to care for their own hives, offering them practical, hands-on experience in managing bee colonies. This initiative not only enhances their beekeeping expertise but also supports their journey toward becoming leaders in urban agriculture and environmental sustainability.
