Bee University NYC will be hosting our 2023 Annual Honey Harvest with La Colmena, a nonprofit community-based organization working with day laborers, domestic workers, and other low-wage immigrant workers in Staten Island through organizing, education, culture, and equitable economic development.

Our Honey Harvest event is an opportunity for community members to learn how beekeepers extract honey! Participants will also have an opportunity to extract and bottle their own honey.

FREE and open to the public!

Join us for our 2nd Annual Opening Day! This event is FREE and open to the public! Hosted in MakerPark, Opening Day will be full of music, activities, and beekeeping!

Opening Day will be the start of our first of two Urban Beekeeping Fellowship Cohort. In addition to a hive demonstration led by former Urban Beekeeping Fellows and Nick from Green Stinger, there will be free refreshments, and arts & crafts.

Step into the world of bees and join us for an immersive two hour beekeeping workshop hosted by Bee University NYC. This unique experience offers you the chance to get up close and personal with our beehives while being guided by our seasoned beekeepers.
